چکیده

Purpose: To determine the effect of diosmetin on young, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) rats.
Methods: Five groups SD rats were used: control group, high-fat diet low-dose medium-dose and high-dose each with 10 rats. After 3 months, interleukin 6 (IL-6), IL-1β) TNF-α) assayed. Protein expressions p-AMPKα, CPT-1 PPAR-α, AMPKα, SREBP-1c FAS assayed.
Results: In levels PPAR-α lower than corresponding values, while dose-dependently higher in all NAFLD group (p < 0.05). There group. Serum IL-6, IL-1β TNF-α raised, relative to values 0.05).
Conclusion: Diosmetin alleviates lesions induced by diet, slows down cell apoptosis, inhibits inflammation via activation AMPK pathway. Thus, has potentials for use repair hepatic damage diet.

The Effect of GeriLact on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease which is correlated with overweight, obesity, and insulin resistance. Recently, the use of probiotics has been suggested for these patients as they have considerable outcomes. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the effect of GeriLact on patients with NAFLD. Method:</...

Beneficial effects of paeoniflorin on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease induced by high-fat diet in rats

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most prevalent form of chronic liver diseases. This study sought to evaluate the insulin-sensitizing effect of paeoniflorin (PF) on high-fat diet-induced NAFLD and possible molecular mechanisms. Male Sprague Dawley rats were fed a high-fat diet (HFD) for 10 weeks to establish the NAFLD model, and PF (20 mg/kg/d) was gavaged to the NAFLD rats for ...

Neutralization of interleukin-17 attenuates high fat diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in mice.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is hepatic manifestation of a metabolic syndrome and includes a spectrum of hepatic steatosis, steatohepatitis, and fibrosis. Interleukin-17 (IL-17) has been reported to play a critical role in inflammatory progression of some liver diseases. The present study was designed to investigate the role of IL-17 on high fat diet-induced NAFLD in C57BL/6 mice. ...

Antioxidant effect of apolipoprotein A-I on high-fat diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in rabbits.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an increasingly recognized condition that encompasses a spectrum of liver abnormalities. It has been suggested that oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation are key pathophysiological mechanisms in NAFLD. Although an antioxidant effect of apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I) has been reported, its influence on NAFLD has not been reported. The aim of this study...

Protective Effect of Meretrix meretrix Oligopeptides on High-Fat-Diet-Induced Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Mice

The present study investigated the effects of MMO (Meretrix meretrix oligopeptides) on mice fed a high-fat diet. Mice were fed either a normal control diet (NC) or a high-fat diet (HFD) without or with MMO (50 mg/kg or 250 mg/kg) for four weeks. Levels of ALT, AST, liver tissue GSH-Px, and SOD activities, MDA levels were measured using commercially available kits; HE staining was performed to a...
